There are mixed reviews about Keen's work. Many critics call his ideas about technology an "exaggeration" and should be "taken with a grain of salt". Like Keen says, our generation likes to make our thoughts public via the internet. A lot of the responses to these topics angrily support the "amateur", bringing up points contradicting his perception of the "cult".

what do other people say about the author and the book?
Of course, bloggers had negative reactions from this book.  I think it is a shocking book to read and if you are part of this era, it really shines a light on how our culture is slowing drowning because of technology if we don't be careful.  There is supposedly even a blog set up where users could post problems they found with the book.
Tim O'Reilly commented in response to the book, "I find, Andrew Keen's, his whole pitch, I think he was just pure and simple looking for an angle, to create some controversy and sell a book, I don't think there's any substance whatever to his rants.
